Group demands release of Nnamdi Kanu
A Socio-Cultural Group, Association of Niger Delta Upland Communities, has appealed to the Federal Government to take necessary steps to release IPOB leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from detention in due course.
A statement by the President of the Association Isa Mohammed Obiri says the Association is confident that such step will help to prevent further unrest and progress towards a peaceful resolution of the current situation.
He says releasing the activist with a view to addressing his concerns will go a long way in reducing tensions that could potentially lead to unrest and public demonstrations.
Mr Obiri says the Association believes strongly that through dialogue and mutual understanding, a resolution that will benefit all the parties can be achieved.
The Association of Niger Delta Upland Communities maintains that it has faith in the leadership of President Bola Tinubu and his dedication to upholding Justice and Fairness to all citizens.
