The Chairman of Ahoada West Local Government Area, Hon. Eugene Chita Epelle, has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to protecting children and combating all forms of child trafficking within the local government.

In a statement shared on his official Facebook page, Hon. Epelle emphasized that child trafficking remains a serious threat to the future of society and called on residents to remain vigilant in safeguarding the rights and welfare of children.

The council chairman declared a policy of zero tolerance for child trafficking, stressing that children must never be treated as commodities or exploited for any reason.

"Our children are not for sale. They are our future, our pride, and our greatest responsibility," he stated.

Hon. Epelle urged parents, guardians, community leaders, and relevant stakeholders to work together in protecting children from abuse, exploitation, and trafficking. He noted that creating a safe environment for children is essential for sustainable development and the overall progress of Ahoada West.
