Breaking news: Wike and IGP Paid a Police Officer Named Fakorede To Hack My Phone - Sowore
Omoyele Sowore, the former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), has accused Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, of working with the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to hack his phone.
On February 20, 2026, during an interview on the Inside Sources program on Channels Television, Sowore made the assertion.
The alleged incident was related to his investigations and public condemnation of Wike, especially concerning the ownership of real estate in Florida, USA.
According to reports, Sowore made the public announcement in 2025 that Wike's wife and children owned three opulent mansions in Florida.
He made the situation worse by petitioning U. S. officials, asking them to look into the assets for possible misconduct and money laundering involving public funds.
The petition, which his attorney filed in September 2025, requested the forfeiture of the real estate, which is worth millions of dollars, on the grounds that it was illegally acquired and given to family members.
This examination, according to Sowore, elicited a coordinated reaction from his perceived opponents.
He maintained that Wike and the IGP met and agreed for someone to hack his phone.
