BREAKING NEWS: Lere Olayinka Fires Back as Omoyele Sowore Alleges Plot by Nyesom Wike

Breaking news: Lere Olayinka Fires Back as Omoyele Sowore Alleges Plot by Nyesom Wike

A public spat has erupted between human rights activist Omoyele Sowore and Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), following allegations made during a recent interview.

Speaking on AF24News, Sowore alleged that certain individuals were instructed to obtain personal information about him and members of his family in the United States.

According to him, a source informed him that someone had been asked to investigate “everything they can find” about him abroad, including the school address of his child in the U.S.

“Somebody called in front of me and reported that he was asked to go and look for everything they can find about me in the U.S., including the school address of the child,” Sowore stated.

He further alleged that the move was linked to the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, and claimed that Lere Olayinka allegedly paid the individual involved.

Reacting via his verified X account on Saturday, Olayinka dismissed the claims and referenced Sowore’s comments in a sarcastic tone.

In his response, he reiterated that Sowore had specifically mentioned both him and the FCT Minister as being behind the alleged move; Olayinka, however, did not confirm any such action and instead questioned the activist’s claims.

He wrote:

“Human Rice and Beans Cashtivist, Omoyele Sowore, said somebody called a friend of mine and reported that he was asked to look for everything they can find about you in the U.S., including the school address of your child.”

Olayinka also raised questions about Sowore’s finances, asking how he funds his son’s reported school fees in the United States.

“Up till now, Cashtivist Sowore has not answered how he is paying over $54,000 school fees per term on his 14-year-old son,” he added.
