Akpabio, Governors, APC Chairman Hold Meeting With President Tinubu
Senate President Godswill Akpabio, State Governors and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Goshwe, visited President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja.
The APC heavyweights visited the President on Thursday, Naija News reports.
Addressing newsmen after the visit, the APC Chairman disclosed that the meeting focused on preparations for the party’s congresses and national convention.
He said it is important for all stakeholders in the party to be on the same page for the crucial assignment ahead of the 2027 elections.
“It was just a brief meeting to review the preparation for the convention and the congresses and the synergy between all arms of government, so we can be on one page, and I think we achieved everything we wanted to achieve in the course of doing that,” Goshwe said.
The APC Chairman stated that they received full support and encouragement from President Tinubu.
“Mr President, as you know, is a politician, very experienced, and his advice was remarkable, and I think that’s why we are here today,” he added.
Some of the Governors who attended the meeting were Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq of Kwara and Bassey Otu of Cross River State.
Also in attendance were Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila and other chieftains of the APC.
