I Used To Defend Wike,When We Saw What Caused His Problem With Fubara We Said No,It's Enough—Daboikiabo Warmate

Daboikiabo Warmate, a chieftain of the PDP, has spoken about why he stopped supporting the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike amid the political crisis in Rivers State

In an interview with Trust TV, Warmate said that before now, he used to defend Wike against Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

However, Warmate stated that his position changed after he heard Wike explain the real issues that caused the crisis between him and Fubara. He said he now supports Fubara and that Wike should stop causing problems for Fubara

In Warmate's words: "I used to defend the FCT minister. I did not know, I was even saying that it was too short for the governor to react. But recently when we heard, even from the mouth of the FCT minister, the issues that caused problems between them, the agreement and the terms of the agreement, for crying out loud everybody said is this the problem? And that is why we said no, it is enough, he cannot control the governor to that extent (sic)
