The Spanish and French football teams are set to clash at the Euro 2024 semi-finals at the Allianz Arena Stadium on Tuesday night.
Luis de la Fuente’s team is currently the top goal scorers in the competition with 11 goals, after a magnificent 2-1 win against Germany last week Friday.
However, Didier Deshamps’s side has yet to hit the net from anything other than a penalty and 2 own goals, scoring just three times in their last five matches, but were able to beat the Portuguese team in a penalty shootout, with a 5-3 lead on Friday.
It is no news that Spain has been on top form so far in the tournament after holding the record as the only team with all wins in the group stage.
Deschamps could not but commend his opponents for their top-notch performance in the tournament.
“Spain is the best team at the tournament without question. I’ve seen a few of their matches, they’re producing good stuff and you have to congratulate them.” He said.
Nonetheless, France, despite their average performance, is still standing their ground, ready to battle their way to the final stage.
