Trump Warns Iran of ‘Very Hard’ Response Over Flydubai Flight Incident
US President Donald Trump has warned that Iran could face a strong response if it is established that Tehran was involved in an alleged attack on a Flydubai flight travelling from Dubai to Israel.
The warning followed a dramatic incident involving the aircraft, during which passengers reportedly helped prevent the plane from crashing before it made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia. The largely Israeli passenger group was later flown back to Israel, where they received a hero’s welcome.
Trump issued the warning on Thursday as authorities in the United Arab Emirates launched an investigation into whether the incident was connected to terrorism.
When asked at the White House whether Iran was involved in the incident, Trump indicated that he believed there was a possibility, while stressing that investigations were still ongoing.
“I would say the answer, based on what I’m hearing, is yes, but we’re working on it right now,” Trump told reporters.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also weighed in on the incident, alleging that the suspect had undergone what he described as “Islamist radical indoctrination.”
The circumstances surrounding the flight remain under investigation, with authorities expected to establish the motive behind the incident and determine whether any broader links were involved.
