Hon. Victor Obuzor Joins Ekpeye Leaders at Town Hall Meeting with FCT Minister Wike
The Member representing Ahoada-West/Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Victor Obuzor, DSSRS, on Saturday joined other prominent Ekpeye leaders and stakeholders to welcome the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Chief (Barr.) Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, to Ekpeye House in Ahoada Town.
The engagement was part of a Town Hall Meeting with Uzugbani Ekpeye, organised by the National Executive Council of the socio-cultural body under the leadership of its President-General, Alabo Ihuowo Monday, PhD (JP).
The meeting attracted traditional rulers, political leaders, public office holders, chiefs, women and youths from across Ekpeye Land, providing a platform for stakeholders to discuss issues affecting the people and the future of the region.
Key areas of discussion included unity, peace, sustainable development and the political interests of Ekpeye people, as well as their role in the broader political affairs of Rivers State.
Speaking during the meeting, Minister Wike commended the Ekpeye people for their contributions to the political development of Rivers State and acknowledged their significance within the state's political landscape.
The meeting also emphasised the importance of greater understanding, unity and cooperation among Ekpeye leaders, particularly in advancing the collective interests and development of their communities.
The engagement ended on a cordial note, with participants reaffirming the importance of putting the collective interest, peace and development of Ekpeye Land at the forefront of their actions and engagements.
