CJTF TF Delta Commandant Warns Personnel Against Rights Violations, Unprofessional Conduct

The Commandant of the Citizen Joint Tactical Formation (CJTF TF), Delta State Command, Comdr. Stanley Oghenevwede Paul, has directed officers and personnel of the formation to uphold the fundamental human rights of citizens and maintain the highest standards of professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

Comdr. Paul gave the directive on Tuesday, September 30, 2026, during a strategic meeting with senior officers, Zonal Coordinators and Unit Commanders at the State Command Headquarters in Abraka Oria, Delta State.

The meeting focused on discipline, accountability, operational standards and the need for personnel to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes public confidence in the formation.

The Commandant reiterated his administration’s zero-tolerance stance on indiscipline, extortion, abuse of authority and other forms of unprofessional conduct, stressing that all personnel must strictly adhere to the formation’s operational procedures, applicable laws and professional ethics.

He warned that no officer or personnel is permitted to carry out official responsibilities in a manner capable of undermining public trust or bringing the reputation of the CJTF TF into disrepute.

According to him, any personnel found culpable of misconduct, particularly acts involving indiscipline, extortion, abuse of authority or violation of citizens’ rights, would face appropriate disciplinary action in line with the formation’s established rules and regulations.

Comdr. Paul also charged Zonal Coordinators and Unit Commanders to exercise effective leadership and supervision within their respective Areas of Responsibility, ensuring that personnel comply fully with operational guidelines.

He emphasized that the authority entrusted to officers must always be exercised with restraint, professionalism and respect for fundamental human rights, noting that the conduct of individual personnel contributes directly to the public perception of the formation.

The Delta State CJTF TF Commandant further urged all officers and personnel to remain disciplined, vigilant, accountable and responsive to the needs of the public.

He said the confidence placed in the CJTF TF by Deltans and Nigerians must be justified through responsible, professional and patriotic service.
