BREAKING NEWS: Gbajabiamila Vows to Remain Focused Despite Blackmail, Allegations
The Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila, has declared that no amount of money, blackmail or false information would distract him from carrying out his official responsibilities.
Gbajabiamila made the remarks on Saturday while speaking at his 2026 Mega Empowerment Programme held at the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos.
The former Speaker of the House of Representatives was addressing allegations that had recently been made against him in connection with the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC).
According to Gbajabiamila, the controversy and the allegations had tested him, but he remained committed to his duties at the Presidency.
“No amount of money, no amount of blackmail or lies, whether sponsored from within or outside, will detract me from my work and the work Mr. President has given me to do,” he said.
He also warned individuals allegedly using his name to defraud members of the public or misrepresent him, saying that such actions would eventually attract legal consequences.
Gbajabiamila further said President Tinubu knew him well, having worked closely with him for many years, and maintained that the President remained confident that he was not involved in the alleged activities.
The Chief of Staff also reaffirmed his longstanding political relationship with Tinubu, saying his loyalty to the President had remained intact even when some political decisions did not align with his personal preferences.
He said his commitment to the administration’s Renewed Hope agenda remained firm despite the controversies surrounding him.
The remarks came as Gbajabiamila hosted an empowerment programme reportedly targeted at about 5,000 beneficiaries in his Surulere constituency, with support including cash grants, vehicles, tricycles, minibuses and other items.
