CJTF-TF Delta Command Urges Youths to Shun Corruption, Rape, Drug Abuse and Cultism
The Citizen Joint Tactical Formation (CJTF-TF), Delta State Command, has called on residents, particularly youths, to reject social vices capable of undermining peace, security and development across the state.
The appeal was made by the Commander of CJTF-TF Delta State Command, Commander Stanley Oghenevwede Paul, as part of efforts to sensitise the public on the dangers associated with criminal and harmful social practices.
Commander Paul emphasised the need for collective responsibility in building safer and more prosperous communities, urging Deltans to take a firm stand against corruption, rape, hard drug abuse and cultism.
Say No to Corruption
The CJTF-TF warned that corruption undermines development and negatively affects the future of society. The command encouraged residents to promote honesty, accountability and integrity in their communities.
Say No to Rape
The command also condemned all forms of sexual violence, stressing the importance of respecting individual consent and human dignity.
“No means No,” the command stated, while urging members of the public to speak out against sexual violence and support efforts to protect vulnerable persons.
Say No to Hard Drugs
Commander Paul further cautioned youths against drug abuse, noting that the misuse of hard drugs can have serious consequences for individuals, families and communities.
He encouraged young people to reject substance abuse and pursue productive activities that can contribute positively to their future.
Say No to Cultism
The command equally warned youths against joining cult groups, describing cultism as a practice that can destroy lives, families and promising futures.
According to the CJTF-TF Delta Command, there is no meaningful benefit in cultism, and young people should instead embrace lawful and constructive paths.
The command reaffirmed its commitment to working alongside conventional security agencies to promote peace and security across Delta State’s 25 Local Government Areas.
It also urged residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the nearest security agency or appropriate security outfit.
The command stressed that building a safer Delta State requires the cooperation and collective responsibility of all residents.
