CJTF TF Delta Appeals to Governor Oborevwori for Support in Strengthening Community Security

The Citizen Joint Tactical Formation (CJTF TF), Delta State, has appealed to the Delta State Government for greater support as it continues its community-based efforts to complement the work of conventional security agencies across the state.

The organisation, led by State Commander Stanley Oghenevwede Paul, said its volunteers have been working alongside the Police, Department of State Services (DSS), Civil Defence and military personnel in several local government areas.

According to the group, its activities include intelligence gathering, community patrols and rapid response to emerging security concerns at the grassroots level.

CJTF TF Seeks Government Support

As part of its appeal, the organisation is asking the Delta State Government to consider several areas of support, including:

Official recognition: Inclusion in the state’s security coordination framework to improve collaboration with relevant agencies.

Logistics: Provision of vehicles, communication equipment, uniforms and other patrol materials.

Training and welfare: Capacity-building programmes and welfare support for volunteers involved in community security activities.

Commander Paul said stronger collaboration with the government would enable the organisation to contribute more effectively to crime prevention and youth engagement across Delta State.

> “With government support, we can do more in crime prevention and youth engagement across Delta State,” Paul said.

CJTF TF described itself as a volunteer-based organisation focused on supporting law enforcement efforts and helping to protect lives and property within communities.

The group also expressed its willingness to work with relevant government institutions and security agencies to strengthen grassroots security coordination across Delta State.
