Umahi: Tinubu Sent by God to Heal Nigeria Through Infrastructure Development
Minister of Works, Senator Dave Umahi, has stated that there is clear evidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was divinely chosen to help fix and heal Nigeria through his administration's infrastructure projects.
Umahi made the remarks while inspecting ongoing road construction projects in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, where he highlighted the impact of improved road networks on economic growth and job creation.
According to the minister, the visible transformation in road infrastructure across parts of the country demonstrates the progress being made under President Tinubu's leadership.
"I believe healing has come to Nigeria through President Bola Tinubu, and the evidence is visible for everyone to see," Umahi said. "Anyone travelling from Abakaliki to this point can testify to the quality of the road and the difference it has made."
He emphasized that road infrastructure remains a key driver of national development, noting that improved transportation networks reduce travel time, enhance business activities, and improve the quality of life for citizens.
Umahi also argued that ongoing infrastructure projects are creating thousands of jobs for Nigerians, helping to reduce unemployment and stimulate local economies.
"When people talk about hunger and unemployment, they should also look at the number of people currently employed on these construction sites," he said. "Without these projects, many of these workers would be without jobs, and some could be pushed into criminal activities."
The minister further explained that road construction generates economic opportunities beyond direct employment. He pointed out that local suppliers and traders benefit from increased demand for construction materials such as sand, gravel, iron rods, and cement.
He added that small-scale businesses are also experiencing growth as economic activities expand around project locations, creating value chains that support local communities.
Umahi maintained that the Federal Government's investment in infrastructure is playing a significant role in driving economic development and improving the livelihoods of Nigerians across the country.
