BREAKING BEWS: Tinubu inaugurates new NWC members as Nwoye replaces Enukwu as Deputy National Chairman, South.
President Bola Tinubu lat on Friday inaugurated the newly elected embers of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu who administered the oath of office on the newly elected urged the ney elected members to always uphold the ideals of the party.
However, the election which was by consensus saw the replacement of the Deputy National Chairman (South), Jon. Emma Enukwu being replaced by Dr. Ben Nwoye.
Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, the National Chairman, Prof. Nantawe Yilwatda said the election is a burden of leadership as against being a crown. He promised that they will always stand firm and united to uphold the tenants of democracy which the APC is noted for.
Yilwatda promised that the ruling party will be more transparent and united to include all shades of opinion.
Speaking further, he noted that the future of the APC is the future of the entire country.
The National Chairman said the 2027 general elections is a task that must be achieved by reaching out to all the people of the country, irrespective of where they are.
Another election of interest was the reelection of the National Welfare Secretary, Chief Donatus Nwankpa who defeated his challenger, Hon. Nduka Anyanwu.
The surprise outcome of the election was the removal of the former Deputy Organizing Secretary, Nze Chidi Duru.
