As per a Vanguard report, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), reaffirmed his political beliefs and loyalty during Senator Sandy Onor's 60th birthday event in Abuja.
While addressing the guests, Wike declared that he would endorse only those individuals who openly support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the upcoming FCT Area Council elections, which are scheduled for February 21. He noted that it is his duty to rally support for Tinubu’s supporters and guarantee their victory at the polls, regardless of different political affiliations.
The minister emphasized that he will not regret opposing candidates who do not support the president, asserting that his position remains firm and intentional.
In his remarks to Onor, Wike referred to him as a trustworthy friend and loyal ally who has always shown dedication and reliability. He stated that true friendship is revealed during tough times, mentioning that Onor has consistently been dependable throughout the years.
“I will keep standing by you and collaborating with you,” Wike remarked, showing gratitude for their enduring friendship.
He concluded with, “I believe that even if I am no longer here, you will take care of my family.”
