BREAKING NEWS: We Are Not Fighting With Anybody Except Those Who Are Fighting Themselves — Wike

Nyesom Wike, Minister of the FCT, has declared that he and his political camp are not in conflict with anyone in Rivers State except those who are in conflict with themselves, reaffirming total commitment to President Bola Tinubu’s re-election project and the joint political coalition ahead of upcoming elections.

In a video posted by Channels Television, Wike made this statement during the inauguration of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in the state, emphasizing that his team has remained focused on mobilization rather than distractions.

He praised supporters for their dedication despite operating without the support of a sitting governor, describing their efforts as proof that political success depends on commitment, not huge financial resources.

He highlighted how members across the 22 local government areas pooled limited resources to fund activities across Rivers West, Rivers East, and Rivers South-East. He commended them for providing vehicles for coordinators at both senatorial and grassroots levels, describing the gesture as a rare demonstration of sacrifice.

According to Wike, President Tinubu is closely observing the programs in Rivers to identify genuine supporters of the Renewed Hope agenda. He urged supporters to ignore envy and hostility from political opponents that may arise due to their visible progress.

He also announced that political activities have formally begun, directing all members of the joint coalition, regardless of party affiliation, to vote for the candidates of the coalition in the February 21, 2026, constituency elections in Khana Constituency II and Ahoada East Constituency II.

In his words, "We are not quarreling with anybody except those who are quarreling themselves. We are here, we will never disappoint you. We will tell you the truth and nothing but the truth."

So I thank all of you but we have not completed this journey. We must go and make sure this is inaugurated ward by ward, unit by unit. I will take a date. To make sure we inaugurate them."

"I have told the leadership of the party. The way they have done it for local government, so we'll do it for the wards. We must provide vehicles for each of the wards, which is three hundred and nineteen."
