Kogi State government announces the successful rescue of two kidnapped women in Yagba West.
Two women who were abducted in Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State have been successfully rescued.
This was disclosed by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, in a statement issued on Saturday.
Fanwo highlighted the state government’s commitment, under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s leadership, to combatting criminal activities in the state.
He mentioned that with the rescue of 21 out of the 24 Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH) Osara students kidnapped last week, the government has demonstrated its determination to tackle criminality.
Fanwo also announced the immediate employment of thousands of local hunters across the 21 Local Government Areas to intensify efforts against criminals.
He emphasized the joint operations being carried out by various security agencies and expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his support in making Kogi a crime-free state.
Fanwo urged citizens to cooperate with security agencies by providing intelligence for effective security measures in the state.
