Court Sets Aside Arrest Order Against  Former RSHA Speaker Ehie Edison And 5 Others

 Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court in Abuja has overturned the arrest order issued against the Chief of staff of the Rivers State Government House, RT. Hon. Ehie Edison and 5 others. The warrant, initially issued on January 31, 2024, targeted individuals loyal to Gov. Fubara as allegedly involved in the fire incident that devastated the Rivers State House of Assembly complex.

Among those named in the warrant were Ehie Edison ESQ., the Chief of Staff to the Rivers State Governor, Jinjiri Bala, Happy Benedict, Progress Joseph, Adokiye Oyagiri, and Chibuike O Peter, also known as CJ Rambo.

However, Justice Nwite in his  ruling today has set aside the arrest order, citing potential legal complexities or insufficiencies in the evidence presented.
