BREAKING NEWS: AHOADA AREA COMMANDER PRAISES AHOADA WEST LGA ADMINISTRATOR FOR EFFECTIVE GOVERNANCE

The Ahoada Area Commander; AC. SANI BASHIR, has commended the Administrator of Ahoada West Local Government Area, Mr. Promise Jacob, for his effective governance and commitment to community development.

The Area Commander; AC. SANI BASHIR. during his visit on Thursday 19th June 2025 to Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State, highlighted the significance of Local government councils in addressing Community-security issues and praised the Administrator for his efforts in maintaining peace and security in the area.

He noted that the Administrator's administration has shown a strong commitment to addressing grievances and taking action, and has maintained effective communication and follow-through on key issues.

The Area Commander expressed his appreciation for the Administrator's support and cooperation, and pledged to continue working together to improve security and development in the local government area.

The meeting was a testament to the strong partnership between the security agencies and the local government administration, and a demonstration of their shared commitment to the well-being and prosperity of the Local Government 

The Administrator of Ahoada West Local Government Area, Mr. Promise Jacob, who welcomed the Area Commander to the Local Government Area, pledged the council's support and cooperation to enhance security in the communities.

During the visit, Mr. Jacob emphasized the importance of collaboration between government and security agencies in addressing security challenges. He highlighted the need for partnership in maintaining peace and security in the local government area.

The Administrator expressed appreciation for the efforts of security personnel and assured them of the council's commitment to working together to improve security in the community. He also mentioned the significant role of traditional rulers in maintaining community security and cooperation.

Mr. Jacob pledged to provide necessary support to the security agencies to enable them to carry out their duties effectively.

The Area Commander visit was segmented with an earlier meeting with Traditional Rulers and Community Leaders at the Akinima Divisional Police Station likely aimed to foster cooperation and discuss security concerns in Ahoada West Local Government Area. This type of meeting is crucial in building strong relationships between security agencies, traditional rulers, and community leaders.

In the same vein, Traditional Rulers in Ahoada West Local Government Area through His Majesty Eze Joshua Eyiba; Eze Igbu Igbudaya ll, have commended the Administrator, Mr. Promise Jacob, and the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) SCP. Ojo Lawrence for their efforts in curbing insecurity and restoring peace to the communities.

During a meeting with the Area Commander, the Traditional Rulers made demands for additional police stations in the local government area to further enhance security. However, they expressed appreciation for the progress made so far under the leadership of the Administrator, Mr. Promise Jacob and the DPO; SCP Lawrence Ojo.

The Traditional Rulers' praise is a testament to the effective collaboration between the local government administration, security agencies, and community leaders in addressing security challenges. The Administrator and the DPO's efforts have contributed to the improved security situation, earning them recognition from the Traditional Rulers.

The demand for additional police stations highlights the need for continued investment in security infrastructure to ensure the long-term stability and safety of the communities in Ahoada West LGA.
