The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) will base its campaign on what it describes as the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration in economic growth and national transformation over the past three and a half years.
Idris made the remarks on Monday during the inauguration of the APC Presidential and Governorship Campaign Council in Minna, Niger State.
According to the minister, the party intends to highlight the administration’s performance and its impact on Nigeria’s economy and citizens as it prepares for its campaign activities.
He maintained that the APC-led government had brought significant changes to the country under President Tinubu’s leadership, insisting that its record in office would form the foundation of its campaign message.
“The truth of the matter is that the Nigerian economy and the Nigerian people have been transformed by the administration of the APC under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. And we are going to campaign on the records that the president has made in the last three and a half years,” Idris said.
The minister’s comments signal the ruling party’s intention to make the administration’s record a central issue in its campaign, as it seeks to present its policies and achievements to Nigerians.
