PDP Assembly Candidate Reuben Izu Pays Courtesy Visit to Traditional Rulers in Mbiama
Ahoada West, Rivers State — September 18, 2026: The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Rivers State House of Assembly in Ahoada West Constituency for the 2027 general election, Hon. Reuben Izu Izu, has continued his consultations with traditional institutions and community stakeholders across the local government area.
As part of the ongoing engagements ahead of the election, Hon. Izu paid a courtesy visit to the palace of the Okilom Akie of Mbiama, HRH Ishayi, and Okilom Opiri, where he met with the traditional leadership and community representatives.
The visit was also attended by High Chief Inime W. Karibo, Chief Security Officer of Ahoada West LGA; Hon. Gift Ali, identified as the APC candidate; Hon. Clifford Jimoh, Chief Protocol Officer to the Executive Chairman of Ahoada West LGA; as well as other political and community stakeholders from across the local government.
During the meeting, Hon. Reuben Izu presented his vision for the constituency, highlighting his ideas on development and his desire to contribute to positive changes across Engenni Kingdom and Ahoada West Local Government Area.
The engagement provided an avenue for dialogue, interaction and the exchange of views on issues affecting the people and communities of the area.
The traditional rulers, in turn, received the PDP candidate and offered him their fatherly counsel, goodwill and royal blessings as he continues his consultations ahead of the 2027 general election.
The visit forms part of Hon. Izu's broader engagement with traditional institutions, community leaders and other stakeholders as political activities gradually build toward the 2027 elections.
