Cross River: Evidence Group Stages Major Solidarity Walk in Calabar Ahead of 2027 Elections
CALABAR, CROSS RIVER STATE — Political activities intensified in Calabar on Saturday as the Evidence Group organised a large-scale solidarity walk that brought together youths, women, elders and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The procession moved through major routes within the Cross River State capital, creating a lively atmosphere as participants marched with banners and other campaign materials while expressing support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Bassey Edet Otu.
The mobilisation featured music, dancing, chants and colourful displays, with participants using the occasion to demonstrate their political allegiance and grassroots presence ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The event attracted attention from residents and road users along the procession routes, highlighting the increasing level of political engagement as parties, support groups and political organisations begin to strengthen their structures ahead of the next electoral cycle.
