BREAKING NEWS: Court Fixes October 29 for Judgment in Okorocha, Uzodinma Imo West APC Ticket Dispute

The Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed October 29, 2026, for judgment in the legal dispute involving former Imo State Governor and Senator, Rochas Okorocha, and the incumbent Governor, Hope Uzodinma, over the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial ticket for Imo West.

The case centres on Okorocha’s challenge to the circumstances surrounding the APC ticket for the Imo West Senatorial District, with the former governor urging the court to dismiss an objection filed by Governor Uzodinma.

Justice Obiora Egwuatu fixed the judgment date on Thursday after counsel representing the parties adopted their respective legal processes and presented arguments for and against the suit.

The ruling on October 29 is expected to determine the next stage of the dispute between the two prominent Imo politicians over the APC’s representation in the Imo West Senatorial District.

The case has attracted attention within political circles as the parties await the court’s decision.
