BREAKING NEWS: REUBEN IZU RETURNS TO OKARKI, MEETS STAKEHOLDERS AHEAD OF 2027 POLLS.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate for Ahoada West State Constituency, Hon. Izu Reuben Izu, has returned to his hometown of Okarki to formally present himself to his kingsmen following his emergence as the party’s flag bearer for the 2027 general elections.
Hon. Izu, who was accompanied by High Chief Barr. Awori Miller and High Chief Inime Karibo, was received with prayers and commendations from family members and community leaders. The gathering expressed appreciation to the FCT Minister, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezebunwo Wike, DSSRS, and other stakeholders at the state and local government levels for supporting the choice of their son to represent the constituency.
In addition to the homecoming, the PDP candidate paid a condolence visit to the family of Late Pastor Harcourt Amieyeofori, father of Apostle Joel Harcourt, ahead of the burial of the late clergyman.
Later in the day, Hon. Izu met with key stakeholders at the residence of High Chief Inime Wilson Karibo. The meeting focused on strengthening grassroots engagement and fostering inclusive dialogue ahead of the 2027 elections.
Speaking during the consultations, Hon. Izu reiterated his commitment to community-centered leadership, noting that tradition, faith, and direct engagement with the people will remain central to his campaign.
Political observers in Ahoada West say the visit signals the candidate’s early efforts to consolidate support at the grassroots ahead of what is expected to be a competitive race in 2027.
