WIKE’S FCT DELIVERY, 2027 ELECTION AND THE OPPOSITION’S NIGHTMARE BEHIND THE SMEAR CAMPAIGN
It is incontrovertible and clear to all decerning minds, that the rising profile of the FCT Minister has sent jitters to the spines of not only his contemporaries, some PDP elements, bruised Rivers State politicians, the opposition to PBAT’s led government reelection to mention but a few are the reasons behind the smear campaign .
Recall, that the prominent role Wike played in the emergence of the President against the run of play had ignited profound discontent and incured the wrath of the leadership of the PDP for which the likes of Atiku, Ayu, Tambuwal, Ihedioha, Secondus, Sekibo, Sen Maeba etc had become frustrated and are bent on getting their pound of flesh.
Furthermore, in the APC, some disgruntled members of the ruling party are going for Wike’s jugglers for ‘displacing’ them in their party’s victory and consequential benefits that accrued with his appointment to one of the most influential offices in the APC led government, albeit a non member of the party. This action, to them must only be atoned by the destruction of Wike and his political career to edge him out of relevance in the build up to 2027 election. Again , this task cannot be compromised if they will be relevant in the post 2027 election, going forward. Note further, that Wike’s excellent working relationship with the President unsettles quite a lot of the gladiators in the APC, some of whom have lost out and headed to the ADC to seek refuge and observing that the so called coalition to no where is not the proper platform to contend with the APC, is rather more frustrating, with the deluge of court cases and the citizens refusal to flocking into the ADC as envisaged by the promoters is worrisome. They place their frustration on the actions and inactions of the FCT Minister .
More so, Some PDP Governors led by Bala Mohammed and Seyi Makinde are resolved to giving Wike a run for his money in the build up to the proposed National Convention of the party- the PDP. The fight for the soul of the party had become increasingly intense and defied all known efforts at rapprochement. The governors believe rightly or wrongly that Wike’s influence MUST be cut down or completely eliminated, if the PDP must put up a rewarding fight in the 2027 general elections against PBAT and his party- the APC, as Wike is positioned to undermining the party-the PDP for the APC’s success at the 2027 elections.
Finally, Wike’s impressive performances as the FCT Minister, unprecedentedly, demonstrated in the delivery of his Mandate is very rewarding for PBAT and his party-the APC. Wike changing the narrative with the development of infrastructure at all levels and sectors at the FCT has attracted envy to him from contemporaries and opponents. The projects delivered by the FCT Minister have formed the bulwark to ward off any potential threats of poor performances of PBAT’s led government in the delivery of his electoral promises. Wike’s courageous and fearless defence of the President and his performances publicly demonstrates a greater commitment to the ideals of the government.
The enemies and opponents of the FCT Minister have found a common ground to coalesce, with the singular objective-to PULL HIM DOWN. It is not surprising, they have recruited every and anyone to get at their ONLY HURDLE to accessing power. With a large war chest, they are determined to take Wike out of the power equation by any means possible. The likes of Omoyele Sowore, Deji Adeyanju etc have been recruited to SMEAR WIKE BY ANY MEANS POSSIBLY to present him to PBAT as more of a LIABILITY THAN AN ASSET, by heaping all manner of accusations on him- whether, they are true or lies . It does not matter as far as the objective is actualized. The Wike we know does not shy away from any political fight of interest, and this is no exception. He will do anything possible to defend his interests against the marauding political opponents. Besides, PBAT, will not sit idly by and watch his opponents take out one of his best defenders, as that will automatically be yielding to the whims and caprices of the opposition, who are determined to wrestle power from him and his party- the APC in 2027.
The SMEAR CAMPAIGN against the FCT Minister is well orchestrated by the opponents of PBAT and his party-the APC, Wike’s enemies and opponents he has defeated, frustrated, retired serially and those struggling power with him. They are bent on getting their pound of flesh. Let’s watch and see how it pans out as Wike has a proven capacity that will propel him to victory always.
